Antique coffee frappe recipe

This is for all the iced coffee lovers very old recipe

8 cups of water

2 cups sugar

1 cup of coffee

1 white egg

put the coffee in a farina boiler,pour boiling water over it,stir occasionally five minutes,then strain through the fine muslin,add the sugar,and stir till dissolved.when cold,add the white egg unbeaten,and freeze to the consistency of wet snow,serve in punch glass.Tea frappe may be made in the same fashion
